Welcome to the Student-Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) Club! As a student-led club, we proudly assist Fresno State in managing their investment portfolio, providing invaluable real-world experience in the dynamic world of finance. With a substantial foundation of over $8.3 million dollars under managment in our portfolio, we are continuing to consistently keep up with market benchmarks. Our members collaborate to leverage both quantitative and qualitative methods in analyzing various companies and market sectors.

At SMIF, you have the opportunity to dive deep into the realm of finance, ranging from conducting market reports, to overseeing portfolio allocation, and constructing stock recommendations. We also hold regular workshops that cater to all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, covering topics such as options trading.

Additionally, we work closely with the AFS club, which hosts the FOCUS (Financial Opportunities and Careers for University Students) event. This event held annually includes panelists from prestigious institutions such as Citigroup, Wells Fargo, J.P. Morgan Chase, FFB Bank, commercial and residential real estate firms, as well as financial advisory firms.
